Sometimes it takes talking to a good friend to remind myself why I started blogging. And the reason why I started to blog is because I wanted to talk to moms about my experience with getting pregnant, being pregnant, giving birth, cloth diapering, disposable diapers, breastfeeding and so much more. I realized now that I kinda stepped away from that and starting doing more reviews. And I think talking to this friend of mine who is pregnant with her first baby made me realize I wanted to go back to that a little more. I will still do reviews and giveaways, but I want to do more.
So lets start going back to the basics and work our way up to having school age kids. Lets start with fertility. For me fertility comes very naturally for me. Most of the time I get pregnant right way or within a month or two of trying. I know this is not the case for everyone. If you are having a hard time getting pregnant there are a few over the counter things you can do to help and a few doctor things you can do. Fair Haven Health has a ton of great stuff. From fertility teas, to supplements (for both mom to be and dad to be) down to products that help you track when you ovulate. The first thing you need to know if you are TTC (trying to conceive) is know when you ovulate. You can get cheap ovulation test strips, or even OVACUE FERTILITY MONITOR if you need more help.
Amazon sells this type of stuff too as well as First Response Who knew they sold more then just pregnancy test! Now lets say you tried all that and you are still having problems. Most of the time your doctors will want you to try for 6 -12 months before going in. But lets say that is you. From there you and your doctor will decide what is best. But there are a few things that they may offer. Things like Clomid is a well known one, or IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). There maybe other things you can do but talk to your doctor about it.
Next part I have to tell you I am not a doctor and non of this is proven but there are a few girl tricks. Buy that I mean there are things you can do to help. First you need to know about How a Baby’s XX Gender or XY Gender is Determined Now this worked for me. After having three boys I was willing to try anything. Now if you believe in God or any other higher up power you may believe that it has already been predetermined what you are having already. But it can not hurt to try.
From what I have read, male sperm are faster swimmers but die quicker. And female sperm swim slower but live longer. Also male sperm like a more alkaline environment and die off quicker in an acidic environment. Where as female sperm can live longer in an acidic environment. So what does that mean? That means you need to change your bodies PH. There are a few way to do that , that helped me. One was to increase my calcium and to douche. For the calcium I took a pill about 2 months before I started to TTC then stopped once I became pregnant. As for douching. I got the vinegar one that you can buy at just about any drug store. (Walmart, Target, King Soopers etc) I used it 10-30 minutes before having intercourse. Keep in mind if you do it too much or too often you could have some problems so proceed with caution. This helped change my PH and low and behold I got a girl! Again there is no sure fire way to get a boy or a girl but it is sure fun to try your best.
Best of luck to everyone TTC!
